Dr. Steven Madey is a highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in hand and microvascular surgery. He has over 25 years of experience in providing exceptional patient care, and his focus is on the upper extremities, including the arm, shoulder, and hand. Dr. Madey is board-certified in orthopedic surgery, hand and microvascular surgery, and he is also a Level 1 trauma surgeon. He is committed to providing exceptional trauma care to his patients with complex and potentially life-threatening injuries.
Dr. Madey received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University in New York, with a focus in Biology, and continued his education at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he earned his M.D. degree. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and then completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the same institution and then moved to the Pacific Northwest, settling in Oregon to practice orthopaedic medicine.

Away from the practice, Dr. Madey enjoys running, golfing, and spending time with his family. He is also an entrepreneur and actively involved in several research companies, including his work on creating innovative safety helmets. After living in New York and Iowa for most of his youth, Dr. Madey settled down in the Portland Metro area, where he now resides with his wife and two sons.
